Bean and cheese burrito lover, devoted dog mom, and your go-to Albuquerque guide!

Hey there, I’m Alex!

I am a born-and-raised Albuquerque local and an eighth-generation Burqueña, with deep roots in New Mexico. I grew up in the North Valley and later in Los Lunas, experiences that shaped my connection to the region’s culture and community. Like many who grow up in one place, I once planned to leave, but staying in Albuquerque for college ultimately changed my perspective and deepened my appreciation for the city.

I graduated from the Early College Academy and earned my Bachelor of Arts in English Professional Writing and MBA in Marketing from the University of New Mexico, as well as an MS in National Security from the University of New Haven. Professionally, I have built a career in quality assurance, business development, and systems engineering, where I focus on strategy, process improvement, and organizational growth.

Alongside my professional career, I began creating content centered on Albuquerque after recognizing the gap between how the city is often portrayed and the reality of its vibrant communities. My content creation work focuses on highlighting local businesses, people, and experiences, with the goal of offering a more balanced and authentic perspective on the city.

My mission is rooted in a simple belief: life is better when you love where you live. Through my platform, I aim to help both residents and visitors build a deeper connection to Albuquerque and experience the city beyond the headlines.
