About Alex
Albuquerque Lifestyle Creator
Bean and cheese burrito lover, devoted dog mom, and your go-to Albuquerque guide!
Hey there, I’m Alex!
I’m a born-and-raised Albuquerque local and an eighth-generation Burqueña, with deep roots in New Mexico.
I grew up in the North Valley and later in Los Lunas—experiences that shaped my connection to the region’s culture and community. Like many, I once planned to leave, but staying in Albuquerque for college changed my perspective and deepened my appreciation for the city.
I graduated from the Early College Academy and earned a BA in English Professional Writing and an MBA in Marketing from the University of New Mexico, along with an MS in National Security from the University of New Haven. Professionally, I’ve built a career in quality assurance, business development, and systems engineering, focusing on strategy, process improvement, and organizational growth.
Alongside my career, I began creating content about Albuquerque after noticing a gap between how the city is portrayed and the reality of its vibrant communities. My work highlights local businesses, people, and experiences to share a more balanced, authentic perspective.
My mission is rooted in a simple belief: life is better when you love where you live. Through my platform, I aim to help both residents and visitors build a deeper connection to Albuquerque and experience the city beyond the headlines.
